SURPRISE!!!! The English major, who is about to go on a
three month trip to England, is writing a travel blog (bet you never even saw
that one coming).I started blogging
over the summer, just to sort of get myself into the habit of doing it, and I
discovered that my life is remarkably boring and incredibly unexciting. However, living in England is going to change
this girl’s boring life into a grand adventure–
or at the very least, an expensive adventure.Don’t worry, I’ve done my research.A travel blog is supposed to be a documentation
of the author’s experiences through writing, pictures, and other forms of
media.Because I really want to do this
thing correctly, I did some reading on the subject of travel blogs to see what
a successful one looks like. After reading
many different articles (“How to Blog”, “Blogging for Beginners”, “How to Write
a Good Travel Blog”…….) I decided to just ignore those step-by-step
instructions and figure it out on my own! This is what I tend to do in most real life
situations.
So, with very little blogging
experience under my belt, here’s my promise to you, dear reader:Whatever I write about in this travel blog will
be cool, funny, awesome, and interesting to somebody
somewhere in one way or another (this person may or may not be you – in fact,
it will probably be my mother most of the time). My flight leaves tomorrow evening. This will be the start of my lovely adventure,
so stay tuned!
